Jacob Shaver and Nancy Allen

Parents of Sarah Shaver, second wife of Jonathon Davis Essery/Esarey

Jacob Shaver (1757-1814), Revolutionary War veteran, of Pennsylvania, married Nancy Allen, who received a Revolutionary War pension in his name after 1848. Jacob Shaver died in 1814 in Kentucky and his wife Nancy followed her children into southern Indiana. Nancy Allen Shaver died 16 Sept. 1854 in Oil Township, Perry County, IN at the age of 97.

Three of Jacob and Nancy’s children (Sarah, Benjamin, and Peter) married three of John and Hester Essery’s children.
