About the Reunion
The Esarey Family Reunion has been held since 1910 in Perry County, Indiana, with only a few interruptions during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The reunion is one of the longest running family reunions in the United States. It began in 1910 at Branchville, Indiana, drawing 1,600 family members to celebrate the centennial of Jonathon Davis Esarey's arrival in Perry County in 1810.
The reunion brings together descendants of John Essery and Sarah Hester Clark from across the country. Family members with the surnames Esarey, Esrey, Esry, and related family names gather annually to share stories, update family records, and maintain connections across generations.
